Current Conditions

The recent snow storm continues to drop heavy snow and will continue throughout tonight. We recommend getting out there soon to take advantage of this fresh snow and comfortable tempatures that seem to be lingering around. With high temps ranging from 24-37°F for the next 7-days you’ll be able to stay out longer and enjoy more runs.

All 4 Lutsen Mountains are now open with over 50+ runs.

Best Hidden Gem Right Now

Hari Kari on Eagle Mountain is a fun run to get your carving technique back in shape. It has a steep drop off where you can’t even see the run continue over the edge until you drop in. Kind of like a “Sink or Swim” moment but more of a “Carve or Slide” result. Nonetheless, it’s a great run to get your adrenaline going and excited again about hitting the slopes.

Best Bet For Beginners

Start over on Ullr Mountain where you can expect flatter terrain and wider trails. Then work your way over to Mystery Mountain for similar but longer runs. By day 3 you’ll be on Moose Mountain enjoying the high-speed lift! But remember to stick to the blue runs on Moose Mountain and avoid anything with a black diamond. Those runs aren’t as forgiving…

Where to get the most runs in.

Moose Mountain is likely going to be your best bet for getting the most runs throughout the season. Simply because of the Caribou Express chairlift. It’s a 6-person high-speed lift that travels over 16 feet per second which takes no time at all to get you back to the top of the mountain.

Best Ski Après

Moguls Grille & Taproom of course! If you’re looking to grab a bite to eat and a post slope drink then Mogul’s is your best bet. You can’t go wrong with the House Smoked Wings and Mountain Nachos or even the Spinach Artichoke Dip (massive platter!). Enjoy the best food on the Mountain, awesome drinks, and an outdoor patio with firepit!
