Current Conditions

The temperatures have gone up slightly and softened up the snow a little bit. Despite this, the snow is still grippy and not icey. This weekend (January 20/21) we have nearly every primary run open across 4 mountains and all 8 lifts!

Lutsen Mountains

Where to get the most runs in.

I would recommend using 10th Mountain Chair over Bridge Chair when possible. 10th Mountain doesn’t get crowded while Bridge Chair can get pretty backed up. Caribou Express always moves smoothly even when the crowds begin to form.

Best Run Right Now

Mystery Mountain has recently opened up and as a result, a lot of these runs still have fresh snow. These runs are long and windy and are a fun way to cover a lot of terrain.

Best Hidden Gem Right Now

Bobcat is a double black below Line of Bull that I actually found by accident. It’s a steep, narrow, and sharp turning tree run with an exciting finish!

Best Bet For Beginners

Ski School lessons were out all over the mountains this weekend with great attendance. Ski School is a great way to learn from an expert and safely begin skiing.

Best Bet For Intermediates

The easier black diamond runs on the far left end of Eagle Mountain are now open and are an excellent way to start experiencing black diamond runs that aren’t too steep or narrow.

Best Bet For Experts

Adrenaline has opened, the first of the three steep runs on the backside of Moose Mountain. Wait for the ice to clear from the warm temps and get after it.
