Current Conditions

It’s hard to beat weekends filled with bluebird skies, excellent snow conditions, and great live music. The Mountains were busy but not too crowded with all the trails and lifts open. Add in the extra tree skiing runs and you’ll need to think about staying an extra day or two to explore them all!

The mood on the slopes lately has been nothing short of giddy. Its a snow lovers paradise at Lutsen! Nothing but smiles on faces 🙂 Coming up in March we have warmer weather, longer days, and big-name headliners performing at Papa Charlies and Moguls Grille & Taproom.  The 4 0n The Floor – Desa with Monakr – Timmy Haus – Eric Frost and Gordon Throne to name a few.

Reservations are coming in fast as more and more people hear the good news so give us a call and let’s get your trip booked!

Best Hidden Gem Right Now

Red Rider to Huff and Puff.  If you want to get away from everyone and take your time exploring the trees this is a great run to throw in the mix.

Best Run Right Now

It’s more of a journey from Moose Mountain than a single run but take Moose Return to the Bridge Chair for a ride to the top of Eagle Mountain. Then take Dipsy Doodle for spectacular views of the lake. Dipsy Doodle will merge into the Bridge Run that takes you high over the road. From there remember to hang left and glide right up to Moguls Grille & Taproom for lunch or for the perfect Après-Ski – drinks, music, and food!

Best Bet For Beginners

Start over on Ullr Mountain where you can expect flatter terrain and wider trails. Then work your way over to Mystery Mountain for similar but longer runs. By day 3 you’ll be on Moose Mountain enjoying the high-speed lift! But remember to stick to the blue runs on Moose Mountain and avoid anything with a black diamond. Those runs aren’t as forgiving…

Best Bet For Intermediates

Caribou Curve is a fun groomer to carve down all while viewing the big beautiful lake on the horizon. Be sure to stop at the top for a quick photo to make your friends back home jealous.

Best Bet For Experts

Moose Tracks, a side-country tree run in the center of Moose Mountain. Head right off the Caribou Express Chairlift and look for the trail sign on your right. Dip in and out of trees and connect multiple runs into one. Watch out for quick turns and some medium sized drop-offs, unless that’s what you’re looking for. You might even get lost, but that’s half the fun!
